Purpose of the Educational Courses
The purpose of these educational materials is twofold. First, they provide students and educators with reliable pedagogical tools to study the Holocaust by Bullets through direct testimony, historical documents, and investigative learning methods. Second, they contribute to preserving the memory of Jewish communities and other persecuted groups affected by Nazi crimes in Eastern Europe. Course Structure
Each course contains six structured sections. Students begin with a witness profile summarizing key personal information and linking to YahadMap. The second section provides historical and social context surrounding Nazi crimes in the witness’s hometown, supported by photographs and explanatory glossaries. The third section includes an interactive questionnaire that tests comprehension and can be exported as a PDF. Additional sections cover pre-war Jewish life, wartime atrocities, and post-war memory preservation, ensuring a complete educational progression.
Educational Goals
The StudyGuide aims to equip younger generations with historical knowledge, analytical skills, and ethical awareness. Through cross-referencing sources and investigative learning, students develop a nuanced understanding of Holocaust history while strengthening their ability to evaluate evidence critically.
